FounderMom Erica Jong is a loving Chinese-American mother who started Sweet T Baby in Atlanta, Georgia. Ever been to the South? Well, when you order tea, there’s only one kind – sweet. When Erica met her husband that’s all he drank (and it was more sugar than tea). She realized that tea was the link between her Chinese ancestry and American South present. In China, tea symbolizes home, tradition and peace. In the South, sweet tea is served at family gatherings and can be a dessert substitute for some. Sweet T Baby pays tribute to both cultures and represents the heart of home in both. And, if you say it real fast, it sounds like you’re saying “sweetie baby”.

Our Story
When a woman becomes a mother, her world joyously changes. That’s what happened to Erica Jong, Sweet T Baby founderMom. Before having children, Erica was a social worker focused on children and teens, so caring was always a way of life for her. Now that she was a stay-at-home parent she wanted to continue to help. With the support of a network of like-minded friends, she used her creative spirit to develop a business focusing on our most precious asset – our children. Sweet T Baby creates apparel in an Earth-friendly, socially conscious way.
With her Chinese ancestry, Erica has an inherent style that is unique to kids apparel. Clothes should be fun, durable and good to young skin. We have found organic cotton suppliers in the U.S.A. who work with the land, not pesticides and chemicals. Seeing other companies ship their jobs overseas made Sweet T Baby sad. We decided to find local craftspeople and suppliers to lovingly create Sweet T Baby products. Though it may cost us a few more pennies, we earn so much more from supporting our community.
